His grisly neighbours the Bloodbottler and the Fleshlumpeater like nothing more than swalloping human beans, especially nice little childers, but the Big Friendly Giant is a dream catcher and not a maneater and hes about to take Sophie on a journey she never expected!

A medieval banquet will be held at Beverley Minster on Friday, 10 July 2009 as part of the celebrations to mark the 600th year of the Beverley North Bar. Kerry Straw, Beverley renaissance co-ordinator, said: "The banquet is being held to celebrate the completion of the bar in 1409. It will be an evening to remember, with authentic food, fanfares and music".

From May onwards, the cliffs of Bempton and Flamborough become a little crowded with over 200,000 seabirds setting up home for the summer. Us gannets might feed miles offshore, but you'll definitely see us flying overhead on our seemingly never-ending task to feed our growing young!
