Mr Chu's China Palace

The largest Chinese restaurant in the UK, China Palace is both spacious and relaxing. With ceiling to floor windows offering panoramic views of the River Humber. Situated at the Eastern extent of the St. Andrews Quay development, on the South side of Clive Sullivan Way, China Palace is readily accessible to Hull City Centre whilst far enough away to escape the confines of the office and the stresses of urban life.

China Palace is an ideal venue for company meetings or corporate hospitality and we can offer a package to meet your individual and/or budgetary requirement

Disco/Cabaret evenings, with live music are features twice a month. We also offer cookery lessons (for more information ckick here), team building programms and business and private receptions. We can host karaoke evenings and we are pleased to accommodate any charitable functions wherever possible. We also welcome daytime visits from schools, clubs or private institutions and are happy to discuss a personal programme.

Upon entering the Restaurant, the bar is situated to the right, consisting of a two levelled lounge. The upper level of the bar area is a private and relaxing section containing lixurious leather sofas. This is surrounded by a large seating area, making it ideal to have a drink and relax before your meal.

The dining area in the restaurant is divided into four sections, each named after particular regions of China.

Peking Section
The Peking section is our most popular section and offers a spectacular view of the River Humber and the St Andrews Quay development.

Szechuan Section
The Szechuan Section is at the opposoite end of the restaurant to the Peking section. It is comfortable and spaciouus and with its excellent views of the Humber, it makes an ideal site tohost business and private functions.

Canton Section
The Canton section caters for the non-smoking and also contains comfortable cresent shaped seating.

Shanghai Section
The Shanghai section is a lower area and has a dance floor in the middle that is used on our popular disco and cabaret nights. We have recently added a conservatory onto this section, which offers a romantic view of the Humber.

We are also pleased to provide special children's menus and we are more than happy to cater for any individual dietary requirements upon request.

The new venue in Hull is Jack's Exclusive Bar which is situated below Mr Chu China Palace Restaurant. The fully licensed bar is stocked with an extensive selection of drinks to satisfy all personal preferences.

Jack's exclusive bar has a large and spacious area that can hold up to 360 guests. As well as the bar area, there are several quiet sections with comfortable seating where guests can relax with friends and colleagues in a tranquil atmosphere.

The bar is available to hire for business functions, weddings and private parties. We can also supply food from our menu or meet any special request you may have. The choice is yours and we will do everything possible to make sure that your event is a memorable one. A disco can be arranged for you as we have our own resident DJ who provides a variety of music from the 70's up to the present or alternatively you can arrange your own entertainment.

Conference Area
The bar has a private conference area, which contains comfortable leather sofas for relaxed and informal meetings. For a more formal meeting, the conference area can be set up with theatre style seating. Computer equipment is available and a full package can be taylored to cater for your specific requirements (food, beverages,etc).
